Wrench investment tips. Finish each small modifier before moving to the next milestone — avoid many half-done branches.
Finish each small modifier before moving to the next milestone — avoid many half-done branches.
Wrenches are hard to come by, so how you spend them matters as much as how many you have. Here are the principles that make every wrench count.
■ Why not leave things half done
An unfinished modifier often does not deliver its full benefit yet. If you spread wrenches across five branches at once, none of them may actually help. Finishing one modifier before moving to the next lets you benefit sooner.
■ Combine with research
Pair with defense research (see Research) if you play War Defense.
If you chose War Defense, tank mods and research reinforce your defense together. If you are focusing on Siege instead, you can keep tank mod progress at a moderate pace.
■ Good habits
1. Each week, check the wrenches you received and update the tracker.
2. Set the next vehicle milestone as your goal instead of upgrading at random.
3. Before spending wrenches, see which modifier is closest to done and finish it first.
4. Note where your wrenches usually come from (events, alliance rewards…) so you know which weeks bring more.
■ Common mistakes
• Upgrading randomly by feel, leading to many half-done branches.
• Not tracking total wrenches spent, so you cannot estimate when you will reach the next milestone.
• Ignoring tank mods entirely while playing a defensive style.
After each game patch, verify numbers in-game (warehouse, lab, hero screens). If something differs, report via Feedback or article comments.
Quick checklist
