Who this is for
Members planning HQ and related building upgrades.
Summary
City walls / 3 barracks types. Required buildings for HQ upgrades.
Required buildings for HQ upgrades.
They increase troop count and training speed. Upgrade at least to LV.31.
■ Why you cannot skip them
City Walls and the three barracks are both HQ requirements and the buildings that decide how big your army gets and how fast. If they lag behind HQ, you get stuck at the next HQ upgrade, and your army also grows slower than players at the same level.
■ The three barracks
Each barracks trains one troop type. Higher barracks levels let you train more troops per batch and shorten training time. The article "Headquarters (HQ) — Priority #1" highlights Barracks LV.27 for T9 troops, so keep an eye on that milestone first.
If you must choose which barracks to raise first, pick the troop type your Squad 1 relies on. For example, a blue-faction squad that uses Shooters should raise the Shooter barracks first.
■ City Walls
City Walls are your base's defensive layer and an HQ requirement at many levels. Players often forget the Walls because they do not raise production or attack, then get stuck when they want to upgrade HQ. Put the Walls in your HQ chain queue from the start.
■ The LV.31 milestone
LV.31 is the recommended minimum for all four buildings. When planning, add up the resources for these four buildings together with HQ. That way you know exactly how much to stock before starting a big upgrade round.
After each game patch, verify numbers in-game (warehouse, lab, hero screens). If something differs, report via Feedback or article comments.
Quick checklist
- Match in-game building levels with the HQ table
- Keep 2–3 builders on HQ / lab / barracks chain
- Pre-calculate wood, food, zent, steel
- Refresh goals after each patch
