Who this is for
Players building hero teams and gear.
Summary
50M milestone — blue only. Once Squad 1 passes 50M, use only 5 blue-faction heroes to keep growing.
Once Squad 1 passes 50M, use only 5 blue-faction heroes to keep growing.
This is the shift from "use the strongest heroes" to "use a synergized squad". At this power level, a faction buff of about 10% is worth more than the gap between individual heroes.
■ Why blue
Based on the experience shared in "Squads 1, 2, and 3", blue beats red and blue is the faction to develop first. An all-blue Squad 1 also lines up with the Shooter research line (see "Military Theory") and the Dawn Tower hero building.
■ Prepare before you hit the mark
Do not wait until you pass 50M to start collecting blue heroes. While Squad 1 is approaching the mark:
1. Check whether you already have 5 orange blue-faction heroes.
2. Put orange hero shards into blue heroes that still lack stars.
3. Prepare gear: when you switch squads, you may need to move orange gear onto the new blue heroes.
■ During the switch
• Squad 1 power may drop slightly right after swapping heroes if the new blue heroes are still weaker than the old ones. This is normal. Keep raising them, because a synergized squad is stronger in the long run.
• Move heroes of the other faction (usually red) to Squad 2 so your earlier investment is not wasted.
■ After 50M
From here, all hero resources (experience, shards, gear, energy cores) should go to the 5 blue heroes in Squad 1 first, then Squad 2. See "Biggest power spike moments" for where to invest first.
After each game patch, verify numbers in-game (warehouse, lab, hero screens). If something differs, report via Feedback or article comments.
