Who this is for
Players building hero teams and gear.
Summary
Hero star upgrades. Choose between:
Choose between:
• All heroes to 4 stars first, or
• Squad 1 to 5 stars first.
This is the most common hero question. Strong players follow both paths, and each suits a different kind of account.
■ Comparing the two paths
All heroes to 4 stars first:
• Pros: uses the big power spike when orange heroes reach 4 stars (see "Biggest power spike moments"). Squad 2 is also strong enough to join fights.
• Cons: Squad 1 grows slower and may struggle to lead in key battles.
Squad 1 to 5 stars first:
• Pros: Squad 1 becomes very strong early, good for players who lead attacks.
• Cons: the remaining heroes fall behind and Squad 2 is weak.
■ Advice from experience
Both are valid. If starting over, the author would raise Squads 1 and 2 to 4 stars first (instead of rushing Squad 1 to 5 stars).
Why: the 4-star milestone gives a large power gain for its cost. Having two strong squads also gives you flexibility to defend and join events at the same time.
■ How to apply it
1. List the orange heroes in Squads 1 and 2 with their current stars.
2. Put shards into raising each hero to 4 stars, Squad 1 first.
3. Once both squads are at 4 stars, start pushing Squad 1's main heroes to 5 stars.
4. Remember the rule from "Squads 1, 2, and 3": do not spend orange shards on yellow heroes.
After each game patch, verify numbers in-game (warehouse, lab, hero screens). If something differs, report via Feedback or article comments.
Quick checklist
- Know team 1 power (below/above 50M)
- Prioritize blue faction after 50M threshold
- Invest in weapon slot before other gear
- Track 4-star and orange gear +20 milestones
